RISE OF THE TOMB RAIDER

The young and ambitious explorer Laura Croft in Square Enix’s Rise of the Tomb Raider has just stood out from the Japanese expedition, as opposed to a group of fanatics pursuing immortality. Rise of the Tomb Raider has more spectacular scenes, powerful battles and tricky puzzles, which is why the “Tomb Raider” restarted in 2013 was praised by critics and fans. Rise of the Tomb Raider is a reliable action-adventure theme.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is the same as the restart version in 2013. It cancels the challenge of the platform, but makes it very simple to travel through the landscape. Laura grasped the ledges, ropes and branches tightly like a tenacious monkey, and could climb the hills skillfully, so that traveling felt like a random walk, not a dead climb. From climbing a tree to pulling a rope, to climbing a rock wall, to swinging through a pit, it is very easy and natural, you will not have any thoughts about these actions. The control device feels responsive and natural, so Lara can play at home in the mountains of Siberia.

But the streamlined movement also eliminates the grasp of the platform element of the game. To give people the illusion of risk, platform games are often supplemented by highly cinematic events and visual effects. The floor collapsed, the nearby ledge collapsed, and the pillar collapsed. All this looked amazing and threatening. But this way of expression only increases the danger on the surface, because the key to most platform game scenes is to keep going and press the jump button on the ledge.

The only half-point challenge comes from the optional puzzle form, which uses platforms and timing more than the story area. Tombs and caves are all over the frozen wasteland of Siberia, which makes the treasure hunter’s courage to explore a bitter return. You will often learn new abilities and earn cash by completing these optional areas, so it is well worth completing.

The gunplay of Rise of the Tomb Raider is as interesting as the restart version. You can cycle through the four main projectile weapons – pistols, bows, assault rifles and shotguns – with different weights and feelings. Sniper an unguarded enemy with a good aiming bow shooting feeling rewards every time you do this. Hit a fool’s leg with a shotgun, sweeping them off the ground and causing them to fall into a spectacular tumble. Fire a temporary grenade at a group of enemies and bombard them into the room in a cartoon manner. It feels good to shoot and hit people in Rise of the Tomb Raider. During the battle, you can encourage your creativity by spreading useful dangerous objects and tools in the environment.

The light RPG system binds these elements together, allowing you to improve Laura’s proficiency in hunting and gathering, fighting, shooting and moving. As the story progresses, you will acquire new items and unlock more abilities. For example, a rope allows you to create a rope arrow, you can use it to create a zip line or pull a wooden barricade. A hidden hawker will also sell unique upgrades to your weapons at the cost of the Siberian gold you just scraped. The previously visited areas are full of secrets and can only be accessed through new abilities, so if you want to take a break from the story movement, you always have something to go back.

Unfortunately, Rise of the Tomb Raider has suffered from repetition. A religious cult organization called “Trinity” is pursuing a life trace called the Source. Since Laura is also pursuing this ruin, the two of them resolved their differences at gunpoint throughout the game. From a game perspective, this means that most of your opponents in Rise of the Tomb Raider will be angry men with guns. Later, you fight with the man holding the armor. Later, you still fought against the man with the armor and shield. During the climax, you will fight supernatural men. If this sounds familiar, it’s because you may have played the restart version of “Tomb Raider” in 2013, Rise of the Tomb Raider is almost exactly the same.

The few non-human encounters you encountered were all sparse, just to highlight the outdated enemy types. The early fight with a bear is very interesting because of how deadly this beast is at close range. You need to make good use of your resources to stun and damage animals, and also use the environment to provide yourself with space to shoot. This is a big change, but such fighting is the exception, not the rule.

Rise of the Tomb Raider explores Laura’s past and her tense relationship with her late father, as well as his connection with the Trinity. Religious tones and rough intrigues and tricks make this story interesting, albeit absurd. In the restart version of Tomb Raider, Laura is a young woman who is full of innocence and worry about her abilities. She is a girl living in the shadow of a thin father who is regarded as a hero by everyone who knows him. The events in that game gave Laura a new understanding of the world and its secrets.

In Rise of the Tomb Raider, Laura chased her father’s shadow instead of coming out of it. She is obsessed with completing her father’s work and restoring her father’s damaged reputation. It would be nice if Laura could get rid of her father’s problems in the next game, but the blatant sequel hook ending seemed to suggest otherwise.

Rise of the Tomb Raider uses shadow technology to create truly impressive shadows. The shadow quality setting-from “off” to “extremely high”-determines the details of the shadow. At “very high”, shadows have excellent detail and sharpness. When turned off, the environment loses dynamic shadows and most other shadows. Sun Soft Shadows can add less obvious shadows cast by the sun. This setting can be turned on or off, and there are high and extremely high settings to get more subtle shadows.

Ambient Occlusion (environmental occlusion) also helps to improve the quality of shadows, Rise of the Tomb Raider provides PC users with HBAO+ (horizontal-based environmental occlusion) to obtain more obvious contact shadows and realistic environments. Tessellation can increase the deformation of the surface, enhance shadows and environmental occlusion. When Lara trek through the deep snow, it also creates beautiful trajectories.

These are just some of the graphics options in this great PC port. Other effects include Level of Detail, Dynamic Foliage, and PureHair, all of which give Rise of the Tomb Raider an incredibly realistic look.
