DIRT RALLY 2.0

Dirt Rally 2.0 is a successor to the 2015 video game Dirt Rally, it emphasizes realistic driving physics.  Released in February 2019 for 3 platforms, it’s another title in the Colin McRae Rally series. Players compete in timed stage events on tarmac and off-road terrain in varying weather conditions, spanning stages in half a dozen of countries.

If you don’t know your rhythm and your drive shaft, Dirty Rally 2.0 is not your racing game. If you are looking for a casual driving experience, just going from A to B a little faster than you usually do in your daily commute, you can try Dirt 4 instead. In Rally 2.0, your co-pilot will give you instructions, numbers, and directions. If you can’t handle all kinds of terrain and hairpin bends, then you will hit a tree before you realize it.

Dirt Rally 2.0 is an uncompromising hardcore feeling. Unlike more casual racing games, the failures here are regular, and there will be ruthless punishment for any mistakes. The heavy impact sound is like a flash bomb exploding on your hood, which is overwhelming. Moreover, if you are caught up, the introduced surface degradation will make you even struggle to drive straight. However, if you know what you are doing, few of the best PC games are closer to this demanding discipline than Dirt Rally 2.0.

In Dirt Rally 2.0, you will do a lot of crashes: Codemasters (game developer) driving game does not have a tutorial this time-you can only learn from the process of going to the hospital continuously. Also failed to achieve the same driving style as the previous games, is the programmatic track generation system, your stage. Instead, every game is carefully handcrafted, and loyal fans are invited to remember every evil turning point in memory. This is the only way to master “Dirt Rally 2.0”, if you don’t accept its single vision of attachment, you will finish.

Speaking of cars, “Dirt Rally 2.0” will never let you down. There are 50 cars at launch, including all your favorites and some surprises, such as the Ford Mustang GT4, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, etc.. The vehicle settings before the race include standard mechanical settings, yes, the car will be damaged during the race, and you need to repair it.

To help you avoid catastrophic collisions, traction, stability and brake control have a series of settings. Similar to real-life systems, they can be adjusted up or down to allow a degree of sliding, or you can turn them off completely. If you miss a corner and hit a tree, you can’t rewind the race. This is a popular “safety net” feature in recent racing games. If you mess up in Dirt Rally 2.0, you will do what professional people do-move on because you can. If you are really messed up, you can start the whole phase again; such a reset is an unlimited time trial, but once you are in the right series, the whole rally is only five. Use them wisely.
